Layout text: "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock," by T.S. Eliot, with which I have a love-hate relationship. Until this layout, it was mostly hate. I know it's a bit of Mood Dissonance with the poem, but I kind of love it for that reason.
Layout picture: Lost the source, sorry.

About Me
Hey. I'm Anj. I'm a twentysomething girl blabbing about my life. You know, because there aren't enough of those on LJ. It's friends only because, like I said, there's a lot of real life. If you really want to know, comment to be added. But be ye warned: I don't post as much as I used to, and when I do, it tends to be really long. I try to write my entries well but they do take a bit of time to read.

I got my degree in English and I love to write, though I don't post a lot of it. I also love to read and talk about books, and movies, and life, and pretty much everything. I'm a total whore for analysis.

I also have a big long list of interests, and I am a very proud giant dork, so, expect that. They mainly involve books. I lurk in a million different fandoms, I have terrible taste in music (except when it's awesome), I spend way too much time on the internet, I take pictures. I mess around in Gimp, too, and post graphics on the web, mainly to show off. And also so I feel less like it's a colossal waste of my time.

But my LJ is mostly my life, as I said. Add me if you feel like it. I'll try not to be too emo.

AND NOW...the LARCHfor something completely different Quotes!
"You can't laugh and be afraid at the same time--of anything. If you are laughing, I defy you to be afraid." -Stephen Colbert

"There's obstacles in our path, and we're gonna deal with them. One by one." -Mal, Firefly

"The world bursts at the seams with people ready to tell you you're not good enough. On occasion, some may be correct. But don't do their work for them. Seek any job; ask anyone out; pursue any goal." -Keith Olbermann

"Lord, what fools these mortals be!" -Puck, Midsummer Night's Dream

"Don't be afraid to be a fool. Remember, you cannot be both young and wise. Young people who pretend to be wise in the ways of the world are mostly just cynics. ... cynics always say no. But saying 'yes' begins things. Saying 'yes' is how things grow. Saying 'yes' leads to knowledge. 'Yes' is for young people. So for as long as you have the strength to, say 'yes.'" -Stephen Colbert

"What fun is it being cool if you can't wear a sombrero?" -Hobbes, Calvin and Hobbes

"Are you adequately prepared to rock?" -Principal Skinner, The Simpsons

"One can never have enough socks." -Dumbledore, Sorcerer's Stone

"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?" -Dumbledore, Deathly Hallows

"Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes. Its all up to you. So get off your butt and get out of here and start doing the work. Nothing in this world that's worth having comes easy." -Dr. Kelso, Scrubs

"AHHH! HE'S GOT A BOARD WITH A NAIL IN IT!" -Kang (or Kodos?), The Simpsons

We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life is rounded with a sleep." -Shakespeare, The Tempest

"I never look back, darling, it distracts from the NOW." -Edna, The Incredibles

"Whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouses, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially whenever my hypos get such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off—then, I account it high time to get to sea as soon as I can." -Herman Melville, Moby Dick

"That, my friends, is a roof toilet." -The Janitor, Scrubs
